Removing access

How you or your client can end a connection, what removal does with each provider, and what you're told.

Either side can end a connection at any time, without asking the other. A connection covers one provider, so removing Google ends every Google service for that client, such as Sheets and Gmail together.

What removal does, by provider

ProviderWhat removal does
Google, HubSpot, Slack, Dropbox, AsanaCancels the access at the provider, and deletes our copy
Other sign-in providers, such as Microsoft, Notion and AirtableDeletes our copy. Access through Operate As ends at once, and the provider's access lapses once nothing renews it. The client can also remove the app in the provider's settings
Services connected with a keyDeletes our copy of the key. The key still exists in the service, so ask the client to delete it there

If a provider can't be reached when we try to cancel, we still delete our copy. Either way, access through Operate As ends at once.

Removing a client

Open the client and press Remove under Remove client. In one go it:

  • Cancels every connection with its provider, where the provider allows it.
  • Deletes every connection and the client.
  • Stops their link working.

It can't be undone. To work with them again, add them as a new client and send the new link.
